Delete your Cookd account

You are signed out on every phone and computer immediately, and your phone number is freed up — nobody, including you signing up again, can use the deleted account from that instant.

We then permanently delete:

• Your name, email address and phone number
• Your saved recipes, recently viewed recipes and meal plans
• Your shopping lists and the ingredients you added to them
• Your tips and any photos you posted with them
• Your profile photo
• Your addresses and registered devices
• Your sign-in history for that phone number

We keep, without any way to identify you from it:

• The count of people who cooked or liked a recipe you cooked or liked — the number stays on the recipe ("62 cooked this"), but it is no longer connected to your name, phone number or any other detail about you.
• Backups of our database, which age out on their own schedule and are not something we can selectively edit — deleted data drops out of a backup once that backup expires.
• Anything the law requires us to keep for longer, such as records needed for tax or accounting purposes — kept only as long as the law requires, then deleted.

Orders placed through our shop at shop.cookdtv.com are handled by Shopify, a separate service with its own account and its own retention rules. Deleting your Cookd account does not delete your Shopify order history; contact Shopify, or shop support, separately about that.
