WHO WE ARE

Cookd is run by Cookd Ventures Private Limited, a company registered in India, with its office at AWFIS Building, Rajiv Gandhi Salai, OMR, Kandanchavadi, Chennai, Tamil Nadu 600096. "Cookd", "we", "us" and "our" mean Cookd Ventures Private Limited. "You" means anyone who uses the Cookd app, the Cookd website at cookdtv.com, or both.

These are the terms for using Cookd. By using the app or the website, you agree to them.

WHAT COOKD IS

Cookd is a recipe app and website — recipes, cooking videos, meal planning, shopping lists, and tips from other cooks. Cookd also sells its own masala packs, through a separate shop; see Buying Cookd masalas below.

One account serves both the app and the website: signing in with the same phone number on either one reaches the same saved recipes, tips and preferences.

WHO MAY USE COOKD

Cookd is for people aged 18 and over. By using the app or the website, you confirm you are 18 or older. Cookd does not have a version for anyone younger, and we do not want anyone younger signing up.

YOUR ACCOUNT AND SIGN-IN

Cookd has no passwords. You sign in with your mobile number, and we send a one-time code by SMS through our messaging provider, MSG91, to confirm it is you.

Anyone who can receive the SMS code on your number can sign in as you, so keep your phone secure. Tell us straight away, at the contact details below, if you think someone else has used your account.

BUYING COOKD MASALAS

Cookd does not sell anything itself. The cart you see is the shop's own cart: when you tap "Add to cart" on a masala pack, the item goes to your basket at shop.cookdtv.com, which runs on Shopify, and checkout, payment and delivery all happen there, under the shop's own policies:

• Refund policy — covers cancellations, damaged or wrong items, and refund timelines.
• Shipping policy — covers delivery timelines and unserviceable pincodes.

In short: you can cancel an order before it ships by writing to support@cookdtv.com or messaging us on WhatsApp; once it has shipped, the refund policy above applies. Cookd never takes or stores your card details — Shopify and its payment provider handle that.

RECIPES AND CONTENT

The recipes, photos, videos and text on Cookd are ours. You are welcome to cook from them, save them, and share a link to them. You may not republish, copy, scrape or resell them, or use a bot, script or other tool to pull content off Cookd, without our permission.

You also may not: impersonate anyone; post or share anything illegal, harassing, hateful, obscene or that infringes someone else's rights; try to break, bypass or interfere with Cookd's security; or use Cookd for anything other than personal, non-commercial cooking and meal planning.

Recipe content, including allergen information, is not health, dietary or medical advice. Allergen information is provided, but not every recipe has been fully checked — if an allergy is serious, read every ingredient.

TIPS AND PHOTOS YOU POST

You can post tips and photos on a recipe. They stay yours — posting a tip does not transfer ownership to us.

By posting a tip, you give Cookd a licence to show it on the app, on the website, and in our own marketing, including on Instagram and other social media, crediting your display name. This licence lasts as long as the tip is up, and ends when you delete it.

You can delete your own tips at any time. We remove tips that break these terms — for instance anything illegal, harassing, hateful, obscene, or not actually about the recipe — without notice.

THE APP STORES

If you got Cookd from the Apple App Store or Google Play, their own store terms apply to you as well as these. Where the two disagree on something the store requires, the store's terms win on that point.

CHANGES TO COOKD OR THESE TERMS

We may change Cookd, or these terms, as the product changes. The date at the top of this page is when these terms were last checked against how Cookd actually works, and we will let you know of any change that matters through the app or the website.

NO WARRANTY AND LIMITS OF LIABILITY

Cookd is provided as it is. We work to keep recipes accurate and the app and website running, but we do not promise they will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for a particular purpose.

To the extent the law allows, Cookd is not liable for indirect losses — such as lost profits or lost data — arising from your use of the app or website. Nothing here limits any liability the law does not allow us to limit.

Masala packs bought through our shop are covered by the shop's own terms and refund policy, not by this section.

GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTES

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute about them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
