    In a pot, add fish, water, salt and turmeric powder. Cook for 5 minutes, or until the fish is partly cooked and becomes solidified. Remove from the water. Once it cools slightly, separate the bones, if any. Shred the fish into small pieces.

    Heat oil and add mustard seeds and cumin. Once the mustard crackles, add green chilli, curry leaves and onion. Saute until the onion starts to change colour and brown. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, salt and black pepper powder. Saute for a minute.

    Add the shredded fish and mix. Cook for 4-5 minutes or until some of the fish pieces start to turn crispy. Finish with lemon juice and coriander leaves. Mix it and serve! It tastes great when eaten with rice.
