Cookd masalas for fish

Method

  1. 1

For this recipe, you can use either whole fish (such as Tilapia, White Pomfret, Pearl Spot, Mackerel) or fish slices (such as Seer fish, Barracuda, Salmon). If using whole fish, make slits on the fish before marinating. Marinate the fish using salt and turmeric powder first. Set aside until you prepare the green marination.

  2. 2

Grind together the ingredients under ‘to grind’ (coriander leaves, mint leaves, green chilli, ginger, garlic and lemon juice) into a smooth paste.

  4. 4

Heat oil in a pan. Over medium heat, add the fish and cook for around 4 minutes on each side (this time will vary depending on size). If it is getting dark too quickly, reduce the heat. Once fried, remove it from the pan. Squeeze some lemon juice and sprinkle some chaat masala on the fish.
