    In a bowl, sieve in the maida, custard powder,powdered sugar, baking powder and baking soda.

    Add vegetable oil and half the quantity of milk and mix till there are no lumps. Add the remaining milk and whisk till a smooth batter forms. Add the tutti frutti and mix till it combines.

    Grease a baking pan with oil and dust it with flour. Pour the batter into the mould, top it with some tutti frutti. Tap the pan on the table to clear out any air pockets.

    Keep a deep pot on a medium flame, invert a plate and place it at the bottom and close the pot. Let the pot heat up for 5 minutes. Place the cake mould carefully inside the pot and close it tightly. Bake it on a medium flame for 50 minutes. Poke it with a thin stick to check if it is cooked through. Take it out carefully and demould the cake. Let it cool down completely. Cut it after it has cooled down.
