    Make a smooth paste using all the ingredients under the ‘for the paste’ section.

    Make shallow cuts on the thick parts of the chicken leg. Add the prepared paste and coat fully. Rest for 15 minutes at least.

    Heat oil in a pan. Add fennel seeds, green chilli, onion and curry leaves. Saute until the onion starts to brown.

    Add the chicken pieces and cook for a couple of minutes.

    Add water along with the remaining masala. Add it to the pan. Cover and cook on medium heat for 20 minutes, flipping occasionally.
