Method

    In a kadai, heat gingelly oil. Fry vathal in the oil and take it out.

    In the same oil, add mustard seeds, let it splutter, then add fenugreek seeds, dry red chilli, followed by curry leaves. Add green chilli and garlic and saute for a few seconds. Add shallots. Sauté till it turns light brown and soft, about 6-8 mins. Now add tomatoes and saute till they become soft.

    Add Cookd Vatha kulambu masala and mix. Add water to this, mix and let it simmer for 15 minutes on a medium-low flame until thick and the oil separates.

    Adjust salt if needed. Add the fried vathal and bring to a boil. Finish with fresh curry leaves and some raw gingelly oil. It can be paired with plain steamed rice.

    Can we use sundaikai instead of vathal kindly reply i bought the vatha kulambu and waiting for it to prepare i dont know what alternate option for vathal v can use.
