Wash and soak the dal for 20 minutes. Add it to a pressure cooker with water, salt, turmeric and cook it 4 whistles (approx.5-7 minutes). Let the pressure reduce gradually

Heat a kadai add oil. Add cumin seeds dry red chillies and let it crackle. Add the cookd onion tomato masala and saute for 2 minutes.

Add the boiled dal to the mixture and mix till they combine evenly. Season the mixture and mix well and adjust its consistency with water. Add salt,lemon juice and mix well. Bring the gravy to a boil, garnish with coriander leaves and rogan and serve it hot.
