Peel and slice your onions into thick rings. Add your dosa batter into a bowl for dipping. If the dosa batter is too runny, add some rice flour to make it slightly thicker. Dip the onion rings into the dosa batter.

Directly add it to some hot oil to deep fry. Once they turn golden brown, remove from the oil and drain on some paper towels. Sprinkle some idli podi on top, while they are still hot.
