Method

    Grind the cashew nuts in a mixer jar. Grind for 3-5 seconds, mix using a spoon and then grind again. Repeat this process around 4 times or until the cashew is completely powdered.

    In a pan, heat the sugar and water together on medium heat until it thickens. It should have a two string consistency.

    Turn the flame to low and add the cashew powder. Mix continuously until the mixture becomes even and thickens. Roll a small piece of the mixture between your fingers. If it does not stick, then it is ready.

    Turn off the heat and allow it to cool slightly, until you can touch it with your hands.

    Transfer the mixture onto a sheet of parchment/butter paper. Flatten it using your hands greased with ghee and place another piece of parchment paper on top. Roll it into 1-cm thick using a rolling pin.

    Place the silver leaf on top. Allow it to cool for 30 minutes. Cut it using a sharp knife.
