    Heat up milk in a saucepan. Once it comes to a boil, add sugar, saffron and cardamom. Reduce the flame and let it simmer.

    Cook it for 15 minutes on a medium-low flame, stirring regularly, until the volume of milk has reduced a little.

    Add the condensed milk to the saucepan and cook for 3-5 more minutes. This mixture should be thick enough to lightly coat the back of a spoon. Pour this into a bowl and refrigerate.

    Cut off the edges of the bread slices and cut the slice diagonally.

    Fry the bread slices in oil or ghee until they are golden brown.

    Fry the chopped cashew nuts until they are golden brown.
