    Heat a pan, dry roast the whole black pepper, dry red chilies, coriander, and cumin seeds. Put it in the blender and blend it to a fine powder. Keep it aside.

    Heat another pan, add oil. Add the cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, curry leaves, green chilies, and let it crackle.

    Add the onions and cook it till it turns golden brown.

    Add the tomatoes and cook it till it is mashed and let’s out oil on the sides.

    Cover the pan and let it cook for 20 minutes on a medium flame, stirring occasionally.
