    Add all the ingredients for marination and mix it well until everything combines with the chicken. Set aside.

    In a cooker over medium heat add gingelly oil, once hot add green chillies, red chillies, cloves, cumin seeds, green cardamom, black peppercorn, cinnamon and bay leaf. Saute until aromatic. Add the onions and saute until golden brown. Add the ginger garlic paste and saute until the raw smell disappears.

    Add the tomatoes and saute until soft. Add all the powdered spices and continue cooking until the oil starts to separate.
