    For the marination, mix all the ingredients with the chicken and marinate for 30 minutes at least.

    Heat the mustard oil in a pan. Add the potatoes and fry until golden brown. Remove it from the pan.

    In the same oil, add all the whole spices and onion. Add salt and sugar. Saute until it turns golden brown.

    Add ginger garlic paste and saute for 1 minute or till the raw smell goes away.

    In a bowl, combine all the spice powders with water to form a paste.

    Add this to the pan. Add the tomato puree. Saute for 5 minutes or until the oil starts to separate from the sides.

    Add the marinated chicken and saute for 3 minutes. Cover and cook for 10 minutes on a low flame.

    Add the fried potatoes. Cover and cook again for 10 minutes or until the potatoes are completely cooked through.

    Add garam masala, green chilli and ghee. Mix well and take it off the heat.
