Cookd masalas for cauliflower
Method
Blanch the cauliflower florets in hot water for 2 minutes.
Prepare a batter by mixing all the ingredients listed under batter with some water.
Coat the cauliflower florets in the batter.
Deep fry them in hot oil until they turn crispy. Keep aside.
To make the Manchurian sauce, in a hot pan add oil, finely chopped garlic and fry for a minute. Add the finely chopped onion, green chilli, capsicum and continue to stir fry.
Once the onion turns golden brown and the capsicum is cooked, add soy sauce, tomato sauce, chilli powder, salt and sugar.
Mix cornflour and water in a small bowl to make a slurry and add this to the pan. The sauce will start to thicken once the cornflour slurry is added. Add the chopped spring onion.
Add in the fried gobi and toss for 30 seconds. Remove from heat and serve it hot as an appetizer.
