Cookd masalas for paneer

    In a pan, heat oil and add all the ingredients for the paste. Cover and cook on medium heat for 5 minutes or until the tomatoes have softened fully. Keep stirring at intervals.

    Allow the mixture to cool, then grind into a smooth paste.

    Heat ghee in another pan and add the capsicum. Saute on high heat for 1 minute. Remove from the pan and set aside.

    In the same pan on low heat, add cumin, asafoetida and red chilli powder. Allow it to cook for a few seconds, then add the prepared tomato paste.

    Stir well and cook for 5 minutes. Then add water to adjust the consistency, then cover and cook for 5 more minutes.

    Add the paneer cubes, sauteed capsicum, garam masala powder and Kasuri methi. Cook for 2 more minutes and then serve!
