In a mixer jar add red chilli, black pepper, jeera, green chilli , garlic , tamarind, tomato and coriander and blend into a coarse paste.

In another vessel, add oil, jeera curry leaves and red chilli and saute till fragrant. Add tomatoes and saute for 2 minutes. Add the paste, turmeric, salt and water and let it reach a boil. Once it boils, turn off the heat and enjoy this military rasam with white rice.
