    Prepare the masala by adding cumin, black peppercorns, garlic, coriander seeds and dry red chilli in a blender and blend it to a coarse texture

    Heat a pan, add a little oil. Add the dry red chillies and curry leaves and let it crackle. Add the shallots and saute till it turns translucent. Add the ground rasam paste and mix it for a few seconds

    Add the mutton bone and fat and start cooking it on a medium flame till the fat starts rendering (leaves out oil).
