    Wash and soak basmati rice for 20 mins.

    Heat ghee in a pan, add paneer cubes and fry till it turns golden brown. Keep aside.

    In the same ghee, add bay leaf, cloves, green chilli, onion and saute for 2 mins, or until the onion turns translucent.

    Add green peas and carrot. Cook for 2 mins. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and saute till the masalas get cooked.

    Add the water and salt. Bring it to a boil.

    Add the rice and boil until the level of the rice almost reaches the level of the water.

    Pour coconut milk evenly over the rice. Add the fried paneer pieces on top along with coriander leaves. Cover tightly and cook on a very low flame for 12 minutes.
