Dry roast the papad on a Tawa. Alternatively, you can also use fried papads or you can microwave the papad for between 30-45 seconds depending on the size of the papad.

Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. After 10 seconds, add chopped onion and cook.

Meanwhile, take a small bowl and add the ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, chili powder, coriander powder, and add one tablespoon of water to form a paste.

When the onions are starting to turn golden brown, add this paste to the onions and add salt.

Beat the curd to make it smooth, and add whisked curd to the pan. Stir continuously and cook until the oil begins to separate and float on the sides of the pan.

Add 1 cup of water and cook, covered with a lid, for 3 minutes

Break each piece of papad into 4-5 pieces and add them to the pan. Add some crushed Kasuri Methi and turn off the heat.
