Method
Rinse the sabudana two times. Soak it in the soaking water for 6 to 8 hours or overnight. Drain any water left.
Pressure cook the potatoes with the boiling water for 3 whistles on medium flame. Let the pressure drop, then peel and mash them well.
Dry roast the peanuts in a pan on low flame for 4 to 5 minutes until the skins crack. Cool, rub off the skins and crush the peanuts coarsely.
Chop the green chillies and coriander leaves, and grate the ginger. In a bowl, mix the sabudana, mashed potato, peanuts, green chillies, ginger, cumin, black pepper powder, coriander leaves and salt. Knead into a soft dough and make 8 balls.
Grease a plastic sheet with a little ghee. With wet fingers, pat one ball into a round of about 5 inches. Make 3 small holes in it.
Heat a tawa on medium flame and spread a little ghee. Turn the thalipeeth onto the tawa and peel off the sheet. Pour a few drops of ghee into the holes and around the edge. Cover and cook for 3 to 4 minutes until the bottom is golden.
Flip it, add a little more ghee and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until both sides are crisp and golden. Make the rest the same way. Serve hot with curd.
