Add the gravy into a mixer jar with some water. Grind it into a smooth paste.

Heat oil in a small pan. Add mustard seeds and allow it to crackle. Add curry leaves and urad dal, cook on low heat until the urad dal’s colour starts to change lightly. Add this tempering to the chutney and mix. Serve with dosa or idly.
