Pour some ghee in a pan and fry the rava until it’s roasted. To completely cook the rava, add water.

Now add the milk and mix it thoroughly. Make sure there’s no lumps. Add sugar, salt and cardamom powder. Mix it well. Switch off the stove and add coconut milk.

For tempering, saute some raisins, shallots and cashews in ghee. Pour this over the kanji and mix it well.
