Method

    Sieve the maida, besan and baking soda into a bowl. Add rava, salt and cardamom powder, Add powdered sugar and whisk it to combine evenly.

    Add ghee and rub in the flour using your fingers. Form it into a soft dough.

    Cover and rest the dough for 15 minutes in the refrigerator. Knead gently to smoothen the dough. Divide them into portions the size of a small lemon. If there is any difficulty in shaping the dough, add a few drops of cold milk and mix.

    Slightly flatten the dough balls. Place in a baking tray and make slight dents in the centre of the cookies. Garnish with chopped nuts of your choice.

    Bake in a preheated oven at 170c for 10-12 minutes or until slightly golden. Take the tray out of the oven and allow them to cool at room temperature to harden completely.
