Soak some bamboo skewers in water for at least 20 minutes.

Cut the chicken breast into 1-inch sized cubes. Set this aside.

Add the garlic, shallots, chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, soy sauce, salt and groundnut oil into a blender jar and make a fine paste.

Divide the mixture into two - one part for the marinade and one part for the sauce. Add the marinade to the chicken cubes, and mix well. Let it sit for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, we can make the peanut dipping sauce.

Add the dry roasted peanuts to a blender and blend it into a coarse powder.

Heat up 1 tsp of Groundnut oil in a pan, add the previously reserved paste. Stir continuously and cook for 2 minutes, or until the raw smell goes away.

Add the ground peanuts and sugar. Pour in ¼ cup of water, and mix. Once it is combined, add in another ¼ cup of water and mix well.

Turn off the heat, add the lemon juice, and set aside.

Now for the Chicken satay - remove the bamboo sticks from the water and pat them dry. Skewer the chicken cubes in the bamboo skewers.

Heat up a pan, add a few drizzles of oil and place them in the pan, with enough space between the skewers.

Turn over after 4 minutes, brush them with some oil, and cook them for a further 4 minutes.
