    In a deep pot, add the prawns and the rest of the ingredients required for the marination. Mix it all together till they combine evenly. Let it marinate for 30 minutes in the same pot.

    Keep the pot with the marinated prawns on the stove and cook the prawn for 10 minutes till it lets out water and it comes to a boil.

    In another pan, bring water to boil. Add the whole spices, ghee, salt and bring it to a boil.

    Add the basmati rice to the boiling water and let it cook for 3 minutes. Strain the rice immediately. Reserve some of the water for later.

    Place the prawn pot on a preheated tawa. Layer it with half of the rice, sprinkle coriander, mint, brown onion on top and add a tablespoon of ghee.

    Add the second layer of rice, and repeat the same process. Add saffron milk and kewra water

    Cover the pot with silver foil, seal the edges. Place a fitting lid on top. Let it cook on a dum for the first five minutes on a high flame and then for 20 minutes on a low flame.

    Serve it hot, wth raita.

    wow... I tried this recipe today. It came out really well. I added 2kg shrimp for 1500 grams of basmati rice. Serving changing settings in your app saved me. For my family I added an extra tspn of chilli powder because we needed to. Maintain some extra gravy with prawn when you add rice to the pan that will prevent your gravy from getting burnt...Thank u Cookd 💖
