Boil the sugar and water together until completely melted. Set aside.

For the dough, combine the egg with the ghee. Add the baking soda, salt and cardamom powder.

Add the flour and milk powder. Mix into a dough, adding water a few drops at a time until it is similar to Chapathi dough. Knead well until smooth.

Roll out the dough into ½ inch thickness. Cut the edges to form a rectangle. Cut into small rectangle shapes.

Deep-fry on medium-low flame until golden brown.

Immediately transfer them to the warm sugar syrup. Allow them to soak for 10-15 minutes.
