Add all the ingredients required for the bonda, to a bowl and mix to combine well. Mix until a thick smooth batter forms (around 2 minutes) Let the batter rest for 5 minutes.

Using your hand or spoon, add small balls of batter into hot oil and deep fry until golden brown, around 5 minutes. Remove from the oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with coconut chutney!
