Wash the rice and soak for at least 3 hours.

Grind the rice along with coconut, salt and ½ cup of water into a fine paste.

Add the batter into a bowl and add the remaining water. Whisk until smooth. The batter should resemble the consistency of milk.

Heat a non-stick Tawa. Add a ladle of the batter and swirl the pan.

Cook on medium flame for 40 seconds.

Fold into quarters and set aside. Serve with any gravy or chutney.

We Can add half onion or leftover rice also instead of coconut n 2 cardamon for flavor.. We coorgis do so n Mangaloreans almost use coconut.
