Wash the rice, Chana Dal, Toor Dal and soak it for at least 2-3 hours

Strain and add it to a mixer jar,grind it into a paste.

Transfer into a bowl and add onion, green chilli, coriander leaves, curry leaves, chopped garlic, coconut, red chilli powder, salt and mix it well.

Heat up a Tawa, spread on it and cook for 30 - 45 seconds. Add a teaspoon of oil and cook it for a further 15 seconds to let it crisp up a little. Remove from the pan. Serve it hot.

In a pan add oil, dry red chilli, chow chow, tomato, salt and cook it for 10 to 15 minutes. Add grated coconut and saute for 2 minutes.

Once it cools down, transfer it to a mixer jar and coarse blend it.

In a kadai, add oil, mustard seeds, urad dal, curry leaves, asafoetida and let it splutter for a minute. Add this to the mixture and mix it evenly.
