    Heat oil in a pan, add garlic, dry red chillies and let it crackle for a few seconds.

    Add the shallots and saute till it turns translucent.

    Add the mutton and mix it well for a few minutes

    Add the chilli powder and turmeric powder. Keep mixing it and let it cook on a medium flame for a minute.

    Add water, mix it well. Season it with salt and pepper. Mix it well.

    Cover and cook the mutton on a medium flame, stirring occasionally.
