    Wash and soak the rice for 20 minutes

    Add the spices required for the masala powder and blend it to a fine powder. Keep it aside

    To a mixie, add coriander, mint leaves and green chillies. Blend it toa fine paste and keep it aside

    Heat a pot, add ghee.Add cinnamon, cardamom, cloves and let it crackle. Add the onions and saute till it turns golden brown. Add ginger garlic paste and mix for a few seconds. Add the blended coriander mint paste and mix for a few seconds

    Add kashmiri red chilli powder and the spice masala and mix for a minute. Add the mutton and mix it with the masala for 5 minutes on a medium flame. Add water, salt and bring it to a boil. Cover and simmer the mutton for 35 minutes

    Open the pot, add the soaked and strained rice. Keep mixing it on a medium flame till the rice and water are level. Seal the pot tightly and place it on a preheated tawa for 15 minutes on a low flame. Turn off the flame, let it rest for 10 minutes. Open the pot, add ghee and fluff the rice. Serve it hot
