    In a bowl add tamarind , water and let it soak for 15 minutes and extract tamarind puree.

    In a kadai add oil, urad dal, fenugreek seeds and let it fry for a few seconds. Now add the onion, tomato and saute it for 5 minutes or until it turns golden brown. Now remove half the mixture from the kadai and add it to the mixer jar

    Now blend the ingredients in the mixer jar along with the grated coconut. Blend into a fine paste.

    In the same kadai add the pumpkin and saute it for 2 minutes. Add red chili powder, salt and mix it well. Add water, cover and cook it for 7 - 8 minutes on a medium flame.

    Now open the kadai, add the coconut paste and simmer it for 2 minutes. Now add the tamarind puree and simmer it for 5 minutes.
