    In a pan roast the peanuts for about 5 mins on a medium flame, ensuring the skin doesn’t burn. Let it cool and peel off the skin.

    In a pan, add some oil, cumin seeds, coriander seed, shallots, whole red chillies and tamarind. Saute this for a couple of minutes. Add the peanuts and salt. Transfer all of this to a blender, add water and blend it into a paste.
