Method

    Combine the salt, oil, rava and flour in a bowl.

    Add the water and wet the flour using your finger tips. Use some extra water if there are any leftover dry flour bits. Clump together a rough dough. Cover and rest for 10 mins.

    Once rested, knead the dough for 1-2 mins until it is non-sticky and smooth. Cover and rest again for 10 mins. Roll out the dough into a log and cut into small, even sized pieces. Roll each piece into roundels. Using some flour to dust, roll then into thin discs. Deep fry in medium hot, preheated oil for a few seconds until it has puffed up. Then flip and fry until both sides are golden. Serve hot.
