    Add the salt to a deep pan, cover and let it pre-heat on a moderate flame. In a mixing bowl add the eggs and sugar and whisk until light and foamy (around 10 mins).

    In another mixing bowl, add the flour, baking powder and salt sling with the butter and mix until the butter is completely incorporated.

    Add the flour to the egg mixture in batches, and whisk lightly until you get a smooth batter.

    Grease and flour the mould with the butter and maida. Add the prepared batter and add it to the pre-heated pan. Cover and cook on low-medium heat for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let the cake rest on a cooling rack for 10-15 minutes and serve.
