Add the water to a saucepan along with the green tea leaves and baking soda. Bring it to a boil and continue cooking until almost all the water has evaporated.

Add 2 cups of cold water to the saucepan. Cook again until the colour changes to a reddish colour, around 5 minutes on high flame. Strain this decoction. It can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 10 days.

To make the tea, heat the milk along with salt. When it comes to a boil, add ¼ cup of the decoction and stir well.

It was a beautiful color.. And it tasted and smelled good. Tried it with both sugar as well as salt. Both tasted good. Try adding salt first. If u don't like the taste add sugar..
