Turn the kettle on and add oil and the garlic. It should start to sizzle. If its getting too hot, turn the kettle off. Add the eggs. Keep mixing the eggs with a spoon to scramble them.

Once the eggs have set, add the cooked rice, close the lids and shake. Add the salt, ketchup and soy sauce and shake once more to evenly coat the rice with the seasonings.
