Maggi biryani, a one-pot egg biryani of basmati rice, onion and tomato seasoned with Maggi masala. Medium-spicy, serves 2, 30 minutes plus soaking, video.

In a Bowl wash and soak rice for 30 minutes.

In a Vessel over medium heat add oil, ghee and add the whole spices. Once aromatic add in onions and saute until golden brown. Once golden brown add ginger garlic paste and saute until the raw smell disappears.

Add in tomatoes and cook until soft. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder,salt and saute well.

Add maggi masala and saute for few minutes. Add the eggs and saute for a couple of seconds. Add the rice and saute for 2 minutes. Add the water and reduce the flame to the lowest temperature. Mix once and cover and let cook for 15 minutes. After 16 minutes bring off the heat and fluff the rice. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
