Cookd masalas for moong dal
Method
Grind the moong dal, chana dal, raw rice, and urad dal together into a fine flour. This forms the basic flour mixture.
Gradually add warm water to the flour and mix well to form a smooth, thick batter.
Transfer the batter into a murukku press and press it into the required shape. Deep-fry the prepared murukku until cooked and crisp. Remove and set aside.
Separately, prepare jaggery syrup and boil until it reaches a one-string consistency.
Heat 1 teaspoon of ghee in a pan. Add the coconut slits. Roast until the coconut becomes dry and golden brown, ensuring that its moisture is completely removed.
Break the prepared murukku into pieces and transfer them to a large plate or mixing bowl. Add the roasted chana dal and dried coconut slits to the murukku pieces. Pour the prepared jaggery syrup over the mixture. Allow the mixture to cool completely before storing. Mix everything thoroughly until the ingredients are evenly coated with the jaggery syrup.
