    Wash the toor dal until the water runs clean. Add the washed toor dal and water into a pressure cooker and pressure cook on a low to medium flame for 4 whistles (around 7-8 minutes) and set aside.

    Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a kadhai. ⁠Add 10–15 peeled shallots (50 g) and 1 chopped tomato (40 g). Add the diced Drumsticks, pour 2 cups of water and let it cook for 5-6 minutes on a low to medium flame. Instead of Drumsticks, you can add any vegetable of your choice- 1 Cup (100g)

    Add 1 pouch of Cookd Tamil Nadu Lunch Sambar Masala, mix and add the cooked dal and mix thoroughly. Close the lid and cook on a low- medium heat for 10 minutes. Finish with 1 tsp ghee and fresh coriander leaves.
