    To make the simple syrup, add the sugar, water, lemon juice and cardamom to a pot and bring to a simmer. Cook for around 12 - 15 mins until thickened.

    To make the jalebi batter, add all the required ingredients and mix to combine well.

    Cut a small corner from the milk packet and transfer the batter into the milk packet. Pipe the batter into the jalebi shape into hot oil and cook for 3 - 4 minutes or until crispy. Drain the oil from the jalebi and add to the simple syrup and allow to soak for 10 - 15 minutes. Serve hot!
