    Remove the skin of the split and soaked green moong using your palms under running water and set aside. In a mixer jar add shallots, dry red chillies, green chillies, curry leaves, ginger, garlic and cumin seeds. Blend it into a coarse paste. Add the de-skinned moong dal to the prepared paste and blend into a coarse paste.

    Add the sliced shallots and coriander leaves to the prepared paste and mix thoroughly.
